SONY CENTRE FURY 68 ST.MIRREN 63 Scottish Junior Men U18yrs Play-Off Final Fury produced a stunning 17-0 run in the 4th quarter to turn around what seemed a certain Play-Off Final loss to long time rivals St.Mirren, to win by 5pts and end the 18-19 season as not only Division 1 Champions but Play-Off Winners. The game's MVP was Fury Captain Sam Owens, who was key in that dramatic 4th quarter turnaround – hitting 22pts personal (5 threes), 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The celebrations may be over by Fury BC can take some time to reflect on what was not only 2 great Scottish Cup Final wins but a historic Scottish basketball double. Its the first time in the history of the Scottish Cup at U14 level, that the same club have won both Finals in the same season. A resounding Boys win saw Fury defeat an Inverness Lions team, who never gave up, with an 85 -22 scoreline and the Fury girls team defeat, West Lothian Wolves 36-24. The Boys, who competed at the Battle in the Capital in London over Xmas against top quality English sides, have dominated the U14 scene in Scotland this season, have had several of their team play in the Scottish U16 Division 1 league. KNIGHTS FURY CENTRAL 46 DUNFERMLINE REIGN 37 Scottish U16 Woman National Development Play-Off Final The Central side took the Play-Off title after a hard fought Final against Dunfermline Reign. The joint Knights Fury side led by a single point at the half after a low scoring first half, that saw the scoreline 16-15 in KFC’s favour. The third period was equally low scoring with KFC edging it 9-5 for a 5pt lead going into the final stanza. The final quarter, saw both teams then proceed to up their scoring as they scored almost as many in the final period as they had in the previous three quarters.
