SONY CENTRE FURY 89 GLASGOW FEVER 30 Scottish U18 Junior Woman Division 1 Championship Fury Junior Woman, led by 25pts from Scotland International Abby Rutter, maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 57pt win over Glasgow Fever to go 3-0. Fury opened with a 27- 0 first quarter. The gulf between the sides moved to a 50 –11 at the half with Fury running their bench but maintaining their uptempo game. Fury continued to increase the gap, also giving minutes to their U16 players who play up to Junior. With a 21-8 third period, Fury moved 52pts clear going in to the final stanza. Over a close win at home in the opening game of the season over St.Mirren, the Falkirk side move to 2-0 and are starting to gel with several new signings in this season’s squad. Keith Bunyan continues to rack up 3’s and shared 30pts with Leginas countryman –Ziggy Dauksas, whose form has made him a starting 5 player this season. FURY CADETTE WOMAN IN MANCHESTER

Sony Centre Fury U16 Woman had a successful week-end in Manchester at the Georgie Jones Tournament. Rebecca Lonsdale’s side used the invite to the top level competition as a great pre-season situation and while there were some losses this was a positive couple days for the team. The young Fury side played 5 games over the week-end and were up against sides that included England Internationals and teams from Ireland. Fury lost their opening games 48-38 against Liffey Celtics and 76-30 to a very strong Manchester Mystics first team. The Falkirk side then got back to back wins over Northhants 58-33 and Manchester Mystics second team 43-28. In their final game for 5th/6th place, a close game

FURY JM & CM DIVISION 1 SIDES FALL TO ST.MIRREN

A 72 -58 U16 Men's loss was followed up by the defeat of Fury’s back to back season Championship winning U18 Men's team by 57-38. The games were played at Fury’s home venue at Grangemouth SC and the U16 Division1 side competed strongly for the first 3 periods but fell out the game in the 4th. Ahead 21-20 after the first, Fury fell to 4 behind at the half. A tied 16 apiece 3rd quarter, meant it was all to play for in the finals stanza. However Fury’s offence deserted them with a 14- 4 Saints run. FURY & SAINTS SHARE OPENING SEASON WOMAN'S GAMES

Sony Centre Fury SW were defeated 53 to 31 against St. Mirren, however the clubs Junior Woman defeated the Paisley side 40-36 in the U18 match. Both the Scottish Division 1 games were held at Grangemouth SC with Fury Woman going behind in the opening quarter 15-9 despite little between the teams for most of that period. Kirstie Young and Katie McEwan had opened the scoring for the Sony sponsored side with Kim Flockhart then adding a 3 and McEwan’s Junior teammate – Pelly Kidd also scoring in the first quarter.
