He may not be in the NBA but Fury’s Austrian zone buster Adam Hammerschmidt made his own headlines days after Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry broke the NBA 3 point shooting record with 13 threes , the Fury marksman hit 14 threes against Tayside Musketeers to take the Sony sponsored side to 8-0 in the Scottish Championship.

The Austrian made 9 threes in the first half as 6 man Tayside put on a plucky display against undefeated Fury. Still in touch in the second half the Muskies maintained their zone defence which meant Fury kept bombing from the perimeter with Hammerscmidt making 14 threes in total and setting a Scottish record tally.

The former Rocks pro player ended with a 46 point tally with Captain Keith Bunyan – Fury’s legendary 3point shooter taking second stage with only 6 threes!

While Fury won the match 78 -62, amazingly their 20 threes against Tayside is not a season high, that was achieved against St.Mirren earlier in the season, when they hit 21.

Fury Headcoach John Bunyan called the Austrian’s performance “superlative” and the win sets Fury Men up well for their quarter-final Scottish cup tie next week, against – St.Mirren !
