Fury U18 Men, like their senior clubmates, continue their run towards a National Championship title and moved to
7 – 1 with a solid 16pt win over capitol rivals Blaze.
The Fury side started well with a 24-16 opening period with the team sharing the ball and working strongly on the boards. Fury pushed the lead out to 10 at the half after being as many as 17 clear. The third saw Fury regain a significant lead with a 21-12 stanza. The team were sparked by a strong defensive play from Daniel Olubalade. The final period was tied with the teams sharing 52pts. Mitchell Stirling was Fury’s ‘go to guy’ with Stirling just when Fury needed him to, with strong aggressive drives that Blaze had no answer to. With a game high 30pts Stirling was the Fury standout.
Sardar Pandher continued to show his potential with a 17pt performance and first year juniors Scott Lothian and Kieran Allan turned out solid performances. Adam Rutter was a key throughout with his contribution in the guard spot and behind the arc.
