Fury's U16 Cadet Men started their championship campaign with a convincing home win at Grangemouth SC over long time title rivals St.Mirren. With fans in the building, there was a great atmosphere as Fury and Saints battled it out, not just in the U16 Men's game, but also at U18 Junior Men. Fury, who like Saints, have a number of younger players in their CM teams, got off to a super start, going 18-4 ahead with 5 players on the scoresheet. Coach Ewan Carlow's side followed that up with a 14-6 second stanza and a 32-10 half -time lead. Alex Low, lighting it up for Fury with 10 personal in that second period. An even stronger third quarter scoreline of 24-7, saw Fury put the game beyond doubt, with Falkirk HS Academy duo Alex Low and James Bennet sharing 16 of the 24pts. Low, who had an outstanding game and finished with 22pts in just 3 quarters, with Bennet also in double digits with 12pts. Liam Bouch and Jack O'Donnell shared 12 pts with Captain Jack Shand leading the team in the pg spot and hitting 8pts personal. Fury's team on the day was - Jack Shand - James Bennet - Alex Low - Jack O'Donnell - Liam Bouch - Cole Mellstrom - Dylan Low - John Crozier - Diarmid McEwan-Kelly - Flynn Gillespie - 7 of whom come from FHS Basketball Academy.
